Hello you all orc slaying fans out there!

We have released Beta version of the game and its down-loadable here. Fine tuning of the game has proved to be deciding factor on Orcish Armageddon’s popularity. We have received very good feedback from you, our beloved fans, and we are seeking to make the actual Gold version of the game as solid as possible. But naturally we will develop the game even further, so that there’s a continuum of great maps, huge armies clashing in the misty plains and even more features and enemy types.

But, enough babbling, please go download the game and be sure to follow-up recent developments and we will have also a twitter page up really soon.

Impressions on Orcish Armageddon Beta

Hi all!

Orcish Armageddon’s Beta is close by, release will happen 17th of August, so be on the look for out something entertaining and addictive. In the meanwhile, here’s first impressions of the Beta. Four levels are included, each have their unique tactical approaches and multiple-ways to come out victor. I’ve taken couple of screenshots here (as seen below), they are from the Blood in the Forest and First Order scenarios.

Gameplay works here, we’ve fixed bugs and one can expect smooth gameplay in all scenarios. Naturally there’s lot more to come, when the actual game hits the streets.

In these scenarios player has to deal with furious orcish forces, and they have only one mission, to annihilate humans. You, dear reader, must survive as you are the last hope to sustaining order and light against the never-ending chaos. Be sure to  have your forces stand fast and do not hesitate to make quick strategic decisions which will either save your kingdom, or fade it to oblivion…

Beta-release close by

Hello our beloved readers,

Orcish Armageddon’s beta is around the corner. We are aiming it to be released during next week, so be alert and get ready to have some fun slaying orcs. And also to all you indie gamers out there, we have a short book coming out, where we discuss the problems, development process and other gaming issues indie developer faces due to limited budget and resources. We are hoping that this book will illustrate indie developers problems and possible solutions to these bottlenecks they are facing.

The development team behind this game has years of experience in computer-related areas, lead developer (Arto Ruotsalainen) has a vast experience in project management and programming, and myself, well, I’m coming from PR and finance background, but in my heart I’m an avid gamer, whose first computer was SHARP MZ-700, so yeah, I’m old-school.

We truly hope that you will have fun with this, and swing your sword with furious a strength and may your bow and arrow hit their targets with superior accuracy.

Orcish Armageddon, new video

Hello all!

Time has come to add some new information regarding Orcish Armageddon. As buzz around the game has grown, we decided to create a video of the game. the purpose of this video is to show you, dear reader, how easy it is to use level editor, so that you can make your own maps and challenge your friends in the settings you’ve created.

Also, in the video you can see how th AI operates and real-time-modification of the levels effects the gameplay. These features all add the value of gaming and make it enjoyable and fun! We encourage you to get familiar to this free edition of the game and give your feedback on it

This is the reason we started this whole Orcish Armageddon project, to create enjoyable game, for a large scale audience. Many games nowadays rely on fancy graphics, effects and hyper-action. We feel, that the focus has been somewhat lost, since foremost the games appeal, enjoyability and addictiveness are the core factors which all gamers are looking for.

Orcish Armageddon, new indie strategic survival game (SSG)

Hello everyone!

This marks the beginning of a journey what is called Orcish Armageddon, an exciting small budget game, which aims to be addictive, compact,  re-playable and foremost – entertaining! During the next weeks our committed team will put up pictures of the game, its development process and of course what’s to come in near future. The game is currently in alpha phase, so we seek to have as much information, feedback and improvement suggestions you, dear reader, can give us.

Please, feel free to get familiar with this game, and be on a lookout for our new beta-phase, which will kick-start in near future. There’s lots of interesting things to come, add-ons, competitive scoring system, new stages and features. But this all due time, dear reader, right now we aim to have beta released as soon as possible and unleashing the orcish horde to see how long will you last.
